What is this blog all about well I guess the best answer is its about this and that and everything in between. Friends and family are constantly asking me to research various subjects ,because according to them I can find the info much quicker and make better sense of it than they could themselves .So rather than all my effort going to waste I decided to post my new found knowledge on to the net, for anyone else researching the same or similar topics. So what you will find here are articles on a host of issues some related to each other others that couldn’t be more diverse if I had tried. All though I hope you will find all no matter what the subject both stimulating and enjoyable.
In short “this and that ‘ is about everything under the sun ,Interesting facts ,bits and bobs of info and snippets of knowledge on well known topics and some matters that are a little more obscure .Increase your general knowledge and stimulate a few brain cells with some enjoyable reading
The second question I get asked most is who is Sylvia Reynolds…. well short answer she is my mother in law ,who after many years of nagging by family members on both sides of the pond and the apparent demise of the teletext service in GB Sylvia finally gave in and bought herself a laptop. Now having joined the modern day pass-time of surfing the net ,on her last visit she kept telling everyone she was about to get her own dot com. Really she was referring to an email address,but being very new to the world of computers and the internet, she hadn’t quite mastered the terminology .But at Christmas when wondering what to get for a woman who has everything (yes she’s one of those mother in laws) a woman who rarely spends more than any three week period at home as she is always on holiday somewhere lucky woman.So obviously home decor or accessories would be pointless ,I decided to create for her ,her own dot com ,basically her own home page from which she can access all kinds of holiday links and on line gossip and facts. So her own dot com ,would be found in Google ,so she could boast about it to her friends I tagged “this and that” onto the domain so Sylvia-Reynolds.com will stay listed in Google and not be considered an orphan website and deleted as Sylvia will use the links but will never update the page. You can check it out if you like she won’t mind, and a little traffic other than just her will help to keep it in Google.
